Rasa Caffe offers California’s first unique award winning “East meets West” (coffee & tea) menu. We prepare our drinks blending elegant organic spices of India and the Asian and African diaspora together with classic specialty coffee standards .
Our caffe’s exclusive original recipes include the award winning Rose Latte and our house made Rasa Chai Blend. We small batch roast our coffee and pair it with high quality baked goods. Rasa Caffe serves some of the most interesting coffee in the Bay Area thanks to its Indian flavors.
Rasa Mott opened the cafe in 2013 inside a small but charming building in South Berkeley.
Rasa is Sanskrit for essence or flavor, and the menu’s Indian bent comes from Mott’s travels. That’s best showcased in the chai tea, rose latte, and Rasa Coffee, which is a latte sweetened and warmed up with cardamom.
They all display coffee’s adaptability. But the shop is also a great place to try simple Regular coffee and espresso
